Every designers’ dirty little secret is that they copy other designers’ work. They see work they like, and they imitate it. Rather cheekily, they call this inspiration. - Aaron Russell

Type

Messing around with some effects with type for a title of one of my projects. I like the freedom of the lines and the colours against the structured text.

the moving image

My current motion module has got me really interested in animation and the process behind it. As I am currently putting my own short film together, this video that i found through creative review was great to watch. I love how the simplicity of paper cuttings put together can portray a great celebration of the olympic games.

Breaking the mould

This short film i found on the BBC film network website, it has been a big influence to me as i have to create a one minute film for my motion project. I will put up some of my own animation work soon but for now this is what has been inspiring me for my own cartoon design.

Plasters

I am currently working on a project for university where i have to design a new product of adhesive plasters that adds value and has a competitive edge. After looking at many different options i have gone down the novelty route and created a range that is lighthearted fun and directed towards the clumsy. What do you think??
