Every designers’ dirty little secret is that they copy other designers’ work. They see work they like, and they imitate it. Rather cheekily, they call this inspiration. - Aaron Russell

Alice in Wonderland

I am currently doing a module on motion and i found this cartoon editing on stumble. Just a bit of fun but i really like how the dialog and images from Alice in wonderland have been cut and edited into a song.

An inspiration

Salvador Dali has been a big inspiration to me, from a young age when i focused on fine art to now as i study Graphic Design. I love that he as an artist has no limits of media and is always growing and evolving. Dali worked in all media from oil paintings, water colours, graphics, sculptures and films. All areas of design interlink with each other and as i am interested and influenced by a variety of design backgrounds. His work inspires me to push the boundaries of creativity to another level and to experiment with many ideas.

From looking at his work I bring all medias of design together as inspiration. This helps me look at things from a different perspective and therefore bring original ideas to the table. I have added some pictures to my blog to show Dali's array of media and the impact this gives to the artwork. Included is a lithograph of the birth of Venus, an oil painting called 'Daddy long legs of the evening', and a water colour named 'Elephant spatieaux' which is my favourite as my Dad has a print of this at home, another great Dali fan.
